Around The Woodlands, specialist offices tend to cluster near hospitals and in medical office parks, and wait times for a consultation run from a few days for an endodontist to several weeks for a busy orthodontist. Most consultations across Texas are free or low-cost and come with a written treatment plan and price; ask whether the fee is in-network for your plan, what sedation options exist and how many visits the treatment takes. A second opinion is normal for implants, jaw surgery and full-mouth reconstruction, and reputable specialists expect it.

Posting this for my cousin. She went into Dr. Muniz' office the other day for an implant consultation and the doctor was wearing Meta Glasses. She could see the cameras in the glasses so she asked him why he was wearing them. He told her simply "I'm not recording right now though". Not only do they have video cameras in the hallways but they also have them inside the patient rooms, and on top of that, the doctor is wearing Meta Glasses. There's no way to even know if he is telling the truth. Why do they feel they need to videotape everyone without disclosing? Also, for just a simple implant post the doctor wanted to put her completely under, first with Xanax before the procedure, which he said he prescribes to all his patients including children, in addition to 3 other medicines (fentanyl, propofol, and versed). Her extraction was done with just local anesthesia which is the harder part of the implant process anyway. Her primary dentist told her local anesthesia is just fine and the above is completely unnecessary (not to mention makes it more expensive). When she asked the doctor why he wanted to do all that he said "I can just do local anesthesia if you prefer, but you will need

I had a great experience with Dr. Muniz and his staff. The staff was friendly, the front office ran smoothly and the office/waiting areas were clean and orderly. I felt like I needed the issue I had addressed immediately. He was able to see me right away, addressed my concern, took great care of me and eased my mind. Dr. M is very straight forward, friendly, compassionate and honest. He answered all of my questions and explained things in a way I was able to fully understand. I HIGHLY recommend this practice, staff and doctors.

If you’re holding your head in excruciating pain after any kind of procedure in the head or mouth, look no further. I had extreme pain after a root canal. No other doctor or ER knew what to do with me. I couldn’t function or even sleep because I was in so much pain. He must have seen this kind of thing many times before because he knew exactly what to do. He and his staff were so calm and caring. When I went back to be seen, I had trouble walking, and one of them held my hand and carefully walked me back. I was afraid I’d need surgery or that I was in the office of yet another doctor who wouldn’t know what to do with me. But it was the opposite. Dr. Muniz was the first doctor that gave me relief. I recommend him if you are looking for a doctor to help you with any kind of facial or oral issues. The patients here are in good hands, literally, and I’m so grateful to him and his staff for helping me.

My husband had two molars extracted last week. He is very pleased with Dr. Muniz's work. The support staff were also very impressive. Fortunately, in his case, my husband did not experience any pain post surgery, and did not need to use the prescribed medicines for pain.
